Two years ago, I received a couple of lessons from Ken as a Mother’s Day gift which started me on a wonderful journey that I continue to this day. The lessons were way different than I expected. I knew very little about guitar before we started. I’m in my 60’s and not only am I learning to play guitar so that I can sing the songs I love every day, but I’ve also begun to write songs. This was a complete surprise. Ken not only teaches guitar, but music in every form, including voice. Every single lesson I learn something new. Ken teaches from where I am in the moment, but also pushes me a bit to places I never imagined that I would go, like getting up in front of a whole room full of people to play an instrument and sing at the same time or learning to play bass guitar! Ken’s gentle expertise is guiding me to my musical goals and beyond. I highly recommend Ken as one of the best teachers I’ve ever had the joy to know.
My son has loved working with Ken for many years, in fact I know that sometimes his lesson has been the highlight of the week. Ken has been absolutely great, going the extra mile many times.
